The General x-ray imaging is a two-dimensional projection imaging technique that images using the attenuation difference that occurs when x-rays pass through a subject and is widely used in the medical field. X-ray phase contrast imaging technology has poor contrast for low-density or similar tissues, and much research is being conducted as a way to solve the problem of excessive radiation dose during 3D tomography. In this study, we produced our own phantom that can acquire images and evaluate image quality using phase contrast imaging technology, and performed performance evaluation. The image quality evaluation results of the liquid phase contrast phantom showed results of 3.25 ± 0.25 in the X-ray absorption image, 4.75 ± 0.33 in the scattering image, and 4.80 ± 0.37 in the phase contrast image. The image quality evaluation results of the solid powder phase contrast phantom image showed results of 3.55 ± 0.25 in the X-ray absorption image, 4.73 ± 0.38 in the scattering image, and 4.85 ± 0.35 in the phase contrast image. Both the liquid-type phantom and the solid powder-type phantom showed significant differences in the scattering image and phase contrast image compared to the X-ray absorption image. These results show the possibility that the self-produced phantom dedicated to X-ray phase contrast image evaluation c an b e used a s an e ffectiv e tool f or i mage q uality evaluation. We expect that the developed phantom dedicated to phase contrast imaging image evaluation will be widely used and continue research in the future.
