The culinary industry has a high rate of resignation and leaving jobs and low level of satisfaction. Therefore, this research suggested a theoretical framework regarding the relationship between passion, commitment to a career choice and satisfaction in their major according to the work value subtypes of students majoring in the culinary. Based on this theoretical background, 526 participants were chosen for the empirical analysis. In the process of the empirical analysis this research focused on checking the validity and reliability of the research model. As a result, the analysis successfully proved the four hypotheses. In addition, the analysis examined the moderating effects of personal traits; gender, education. The proposed model provided an adequate fit to the data, χ²=1,154.256 (df=309), CMIN/df=3.735, GFI=0.848, AGFI=0.814, CFI=0.895. This research would be considered as a good reference for job seekers. They would acknowledge the importance of occupational values and have enough time to think seriously about their future jobs. Eventually, this research would have repercussions on culinary students’ job choice resulting in satisfaction with their jobs.
