This study reviews the wooden tablets excavated from Yangdongsanseong Fortress in Gimhae. The summary of the contents in this paper is as follows:
First, the number of the wooden tablets excavated from Yangdongsanseong Fortress in Gimhae is three, and the production period is estimated to be around 583, considering the ‘Year of the Rabbit’ written in the wooden tablet No. 1 and the chronology of the pottery (late 6th - early 7th century).
Second, all three wooden tablets excavated from Yangdongsanseong Fortress are judged to be a tag. The wooden tablet No. 1 is the tag of goods moving from ‘Yulchon’ to Yangdongsanseong Fortress. Also, the wooden tablets No. 2 and No. 3 are considered to be tags attached to the items stored in the warehouse of Yangdongsanseong Fortress.
Third, the contents of the wooden tablet No. 2 from Yangdongsanseong Fortress were examined, and it was clear that ‘Seok(石)’ was not a unit representing the capacity but a container for goods. Through the contents of the wooden tablet No. 3, it was also found that there was a building called ‘Ganhyung-sil(干形室)’ in Yangdongsanseong Fortress at that time.
